New to Blogger

After two years of using my website http://brendanjsullivan.com/ for my portfolio and blog images I decided to separate the two. I am now jumping on the blogger/blogspot train, to share my recent work. Hopefully, this will prevent potential employers from thinking the photographs I was posting on my "blog" were "portfolio" worthy. My fall internship at The Dallas Morning News was extended. Here is a look at some of my favorite images during the past six months. All images are copyright of Brendan J. Sullivan and The Dallas Morning News.

Rafaela Franco, 72 poses for a portrait while sitting in what use to be the bedroom of her home on Highway 208 in Colorado City on March 3, 2011.  The home Franco lived in since 1970 burned to the ground after a 8,400 acre wildfire destroyed around a dozen homes in Colorado City/Mitchell County area on Feb. 27, 2011. Rafaela, her son son Rudy Franco and his two daughters were not injured, but are left with nothing. (Brendan Sullivan / The Dallas Morning News)
At 1 a.m. Jodi Garrott of Georgetown and Scott Studenko of Dallas dance to Sweet Home Alabama at Metro Diner on Feb. 18, 2011. After serving Dallas for 43 years the Metro Diner on Gaston Ave. is closing its doors in April 2011 due to the Baylor Hospital expansion plans. (Brendan Sullivan / The Dallas Morning News)
Sara Rice of Dallas sneaks a piece of her edible bouquet beside her husband Jose Luis Martinez Hernandez of Mexico City as they listen to their friend Tom "Pinky Diablo" Sale of Ennis conduct their wedding ceremony in front of Big Tex at the State Fair of Texas on Oct. 12, 2010. (Brendan Sullivan/The Dallas Morning News)
